The Weekly Wave
3/15/2020
Dear Riptides,
As you are aware, our district is transitioning to a distance learning environment beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16. Your teachers will communicate with you to help walk you through the process of getting set-up with your daily lessons and assignments and the best ways to communicate with them.
The next few weeks will be a learning experience for all of us and I'm sure we'll make adjustments along the way. Please remember we're all in this together and we can lean on each other for support and guidance about what's working and how to make this transition as smooth as possible for our kids and ourselves.
As we navigate these change in our daily lives and transition to home learning environments, we want to emphasize the importance of creating and maintaining a home schooling schedule. It will be essential to create a schedule that coincides with each teacher's instruction and also works for your household. Make sure to set firm start and end times and build in blocks of time dedicated to studies, free choice, and family time. There are many online resources available that can help you structure your daily schedule or create your own using excel. Click here to view or download a sample schedule.
Last but not least, you can expect daily email updates directly from me and you should look forward to hearing from your teachers tomorrow as well.
With Gratitude,
Principal Jackie O'Sullivan & Robinson PTSA
